GOV ALIYU COMMISSIONS ROAD PROJECT IN JIGAWA
The Chief Servant and Governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, OON (Talban Minna) has commissioned the newly reconstructed Kiyawa – Jahun – Gujungu road in Jigawa State.
The event was the high point of the Chief Servant’s one-day working visit to Jigawa State, where he joined the host Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido and former President Olusegun Obasanjo to commission and inspect developmental projects in the State.
At the event, Governor Aliyu thanked Governor Lamido for the honour done to him by the invitation and pledged to reciprocate the gesture by inviting the latter to Niger State. He said “I am impressed by the level of progress made by my big brother and colleague, Alhaji Sule Lamido. He has been able to achieve in two years what Jigawa didn’t witness in several years. These developments are ground breaking.”
The 72.5km road is one of the 12 roads being reconstructed by the administration of Governor Sule Lamido.
Other projects commissioned during the Chief Servant’s visit are Gujungu – Gumel Road, Gujungu – Zakirai Road, Gujungu – Hadejia Road and flagging-off of the Jigawa Tricycle Company.
